Sandra has written, produced and directed several short films and spec commercials during her climb up the filmmaking ladder. She made her feature film directorial debut with theTRUTHthePAINtheSACRIFICE: an actor's reality, which won the Silver Medal Award at the Houston International Film Festival. She is a recipient of numerous awards most notably the Guy Hanks/Marvin Miller SCREENWRITING FELLOWSHIP and the Frances E. Williams Artist Grant. Sandra made her stage directorial debut with the full-length musical play entitled A Taste of Life, which was mounted at the 1200 seat Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. For Black Entertainment Television, Ms. Hodge-Hampton wrote and produced their Emmy Nominee Awards Presentation held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. As an independent, Sandra served as Producer and Executive Producer of the feature film A Part of Me, which was requested to participate in the American Film Institute's Independent Film Retrospective at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In New York, Ms. Hodge-Hampton honed her directorial skills under the tutelage of Broadway produced Director and Choreographer, Otis Sallid, conceiver of the Tony nominated musical Smokey Joe's Café. With Sallid, Sandra acquired production experience in commercials, episodic television, music videos and Broadway musicals. As Executive Assistant to actor-writer-director-producer Laurence Fishburne, Ms. Hodge-Hampton assisted Mr. Fishburne in all areas of film, television, and theater production, acting as his personal liaison on all projects at home and abroad. Warner Bros.' The Matrix, HBO's Always Outnumbered, and a Broadway production of Lion In Winter are just a few of the widely acclaimed projects Sandra worked on during her tenure with Mr. Fishburne. For MGM Studios, she served as assistant and directing apprentice to Prison Break Executive Producer and director Kevin Hooks on the feature film Fled. ROSALIND is Sandra’s twelfth short as a writer-producer and was written specifically for her wife’s directorial debut under their Glory Filmworks production banner. With a Finance degree from the U. of Notre Dame, where she received the LeClair Eells Award for writing, producing and directing her play Living Memories, Sandra went on to do post-graduate studies at the Goodman School of Drama, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, NYU, UCLA and USC.

The short entitled, ROSALIND, marks Veronica A. Hodge-Hampton's directorial debut for her and her wife’s company, Glory Filmworks. For over twenty years she has served as a 1st A.D. on hit television shows like ATLANTA, MacGyver, Greenleaf seasons 2 & 3, Step Up the television series, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, Finding Carter, Devious Maids, Hindsight, THE WALKING DEAD, and The Bernie Mac Show. Acclaimed director David Boyd chose Veronica to 1st AD his debut feature film HOME RUN, and she was 1st AD to Donald Glover when his team won a Golden Globe for Outstanding Directorial Achievement on a Comedy Series for his B.A.N. episode of ATLANTA. Ms. Hodge-Hampton is currently in development with her own UNTITLED HORROR film, which will be her long form directorial debut. DRUMLINE, X-MEN: First Class, Zombieland, THE BLIND SIDE are just a few of the myriad of films Veronica has worked on as a member of the Directors Guild of America. Hodge-Hampton continues to personify excellence as a 1st AD while honing her skills to direct short and long form scripts for film, television and digital platforms.
